Works by Anglian Water in Cottenham
Cottenham Parish Council have received the following update from Anglian Water, regarding the upcoming works in Cottenham; Anglian Water have made the decision to postpone the work.
Following our conversations, and having listened to the concerns of the residents of Cottenham, we have decided to delay the works. This means that the work (and associated traffic management) will not begin on the 1st September. I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for an inadvertent confusion caused by this process.
Whilst these works are essential, we have taken on board the comments that you have kindly provided, and have made the decision to remodel and amend the works to understand if we can complete with less impact on the village. We did originally plan for these works to go ahead in the summer, as you will know, however this wasn’t possible due to Highways England work on the A14.
It will likely be a number of months before we are able to begin this work due to highways permits and notices, but I would be hugely grateful if we could work together to minimise the impact, appreciating that you all have a great understanding of the community and resident’s needs. As these plans are developed we will be doing much more communication with individuals and businesses.
