We have received correspondence from Highways regarding the above road closure.
Following a site meeting this morning, good progress with the emergency works have been made. However, approximately two critical areas of carriageway that still require repair. As a result, the current road closure will need to be extended and it is hoped the route will be re-opened by 6:00pm this evening. Should work progress well and the carriageway be considered safe following inspection, the road may be reopened earlier.
