A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: major improvements
We are currently carrying out finishing works for which we need to close lanes or
carriageways on the A1, A14 and some local roads at times, usually overnight
between 9pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will
always be in place for closures.
For this week, the planned closures are:
Full closures
Tuesday 30
• A14 Eastbound Exit Slip Milton junction 33
Vehicles will be diverted by continuing to junction 34 to turn around and come
back.

Update: Planned road Closures w/c 1st August 2022 – Amendment

A14 C2H improvement scheme

We’re writing to advise you of an amendment to the day closure in Huntingdon, this coming Saturday (6th) from 8am until 5pm.

The closure of B1514 Brampton Road has been extended and will also include George Street westbound and the A1307 eastbound between B1514 Brampton Road and Pathfinder Link.

While the closure is in place, there will be no access to George Street from the ring road. Access to the A1307 and Huntingdon railway station east car park will be via the ring road and Pathfinder Link.

A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire: major improvements

We are currently carrying out finishing works for which we need to close lanes or carriageways on the A1, A14 and some local roads at times, usually overnight
between 9pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will always be in place for closures.
For this week, the planned closures are:

Full closures
Saturday 6 8am to 5pm
• B1514 Brampton Road between Scholars Avenue and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring
road, St Peters Road to A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse
junction and into Brampton via B1514.
Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in
reverse.
Saturday 6 (one night)
• A1 northbound Brampton Hut exit slip
Vehicles will be diverted to continue north on the A1 to Alconbury, exit and
return on the A1 southbound for access to Brampton Hut roundabout and the
A141
• A1 northbound between Buckden roundabout and the A14/A1 Brampton
Interchange
Vehicles will be diverted east on the A428 at Wyboston, north on the A1198 to
join the A14 westbound at Godmanchester junction 23. From here traffic can
then exit the A14 at Brampton Interchange junction 22 to access the A1 or
can continue their journey on the A14.

Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 April 8am to 5pm

• B1514 Brampton Road between Scholars Avenue and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring
road, St Peters Road to A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse
junction and into Brampton via B1514.
Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in
reverse.
Pedestrian access will be maintained via the footpath. Access to the Station
western car park will also be maintained.

Tuesday 15 (one night)
• A1(M) southbound between junction 14 and A1 Alconbury southbound entry
slip Vehicles will be diverted onto the A1307(M) to Spittals roundabout and then
west on the A141 to re-join the A1 at Brampton Hut or to continue west onto
the A14

Saturday 19 8am to 5pm

• B1514 Brampton Road between Scholars Avenue and Edison Bell Way
Vehicles on the Huntingdon town centre side will be diverted onto the ring
road, St Peters Road to A141 west to Brampton / Brampton Racecourse
junction and into Brampton via B1514. Vehicles on the Brampton side of the closure will follow this diversion in reverse.
Pedestrian access will be maintained via the footpath.

We are currently carrying out finishing works for which we need to close lanes or
carriageways on the A1, A14 and some local roads at times, usually overnight
between 9pm and 6am, unless otherwise stated. A clearly signed diversion route will
always be in place for closures.
For this week, the planned closures are:
Full closures
Tuesday 1 to Friday 4 February (four nights)
• A10 northbound between the Milton junction 33 gyratory and Butt Lane
Vehicles will be diverted east on the A14 to Newmarket junction 37, north on
the A142, west on the Ely Southern Bypass and then either south on the A10
for access or re-join the A10 northbound to continue their journey
