Please be advised that due to a sink hole opening up on Rampton road Cottenham Anglian Water have had to close this road for emergency works, This closure is in force from this morning until the 28^th October.

I have attached a map with the location of the closure including diversion route.

The diversion will be as follows :

Oakington Road, Cambridge Road , New Road, Park lane, Glebe Way onto Cottenham Road and Vice versa

Just a reminder that this only includes works that are due to start between 16^th  – 31^st  October and longer term works that are still in progress will have been included on previous reports. Alternatively please refer to http://www.roadworks.org  which will include details on emergency roadworks.

This weekend, there will be a closure of the A14 eastbound between St Ives J26 and Bar Hill J29 from Friday 10pm until Monday 5am. Once the closure is lifted on Monday morning, the eastbound exit slip for Swavesey J28 will use part of the new local access road as an exit slip road. (Green line on photo attached).

The new slip road is located well BEFORE the junction and bridge, and will be signposted in advance. At the same time, the eastbound entry slip will also change. Entry to the A14 will be from the roundabout at the top of the Swavesey overbridge. (Yellow line) The old eastbound exit and entry slips will be closed as of Monday.

Please note, our Operational colleagues will also be working on the A14 eastbound between Thrapston, junction 13 and Ellington, junction 20. This will be combined with our works between Ellington and Brampton Hut.

This will be Monday 9^th to Friday 13^th, for five nights.
